We've recieved some wonderful, wonderful interest in our ashcan, 'mostly acquisitions', so really quickly and without consulting the rest of the crew (they're at work and in Europe, man, gimme a break) I've thrown up a mini page to give you all some information on the comic and us.

What is 'mostly acquisitions'?
It's a twenty page ashcan that we (more on us later) each contributed to, Jen did the cover and the rest of us did a four page story.
The stories are:

"Comic-Conned" by Bill Mudron,
Three characters from his in-progress comic, 'Anee Frank vs. the Moon Nazis', explore the San Diego Comic-Con for the first time. Bill's comic is full of lots of pop culture references, cameos from scads of comics, movies, and online people, and beautiful pencil shaded artwork.

"Babeland" by Vera Brosgol,
A young girl goes into Toys in Babeland for the very first time and goes through the ordeal of a) actually being in a sex store, and b)buying her first vibrator. It's very innocent and sweet, contrary to what most people would think in connection to a story about sex toys. Vera is a master of expressions and timing!

"Random Frog Children" by Kevin Hanna,
Characters from Kevin's comic (of the same name) try and fail to pick up cute girls, wax philosophical about love, predict the next horrible means God will use to kill of mankind, marital bliss, and draw dead birds. Kevin writes great, natural dialoge that's always clever and funny-- and the girls he draws are cute, too.

"The EasyBake Oven" by Erika Moen,
This one is my story. It's the semi-true tale of a traumatic even in from my childhood, in which I prayed to God for an EasyBake Oven and... oh god... the memories. It's just... too painful.... I need to be alone for a minute.

"A Lesson" by Dylan Meconis,
For everyone that has trouble drawing hands-- don't read this. It'll make you commit suicide. Dylan illustrates an entire monologe using just hands-- very, very beautifully drawn hands. It's a very arty comic, in which you have to read it a few times because it's so open to interpetation. Vera thinks it's about an orgasm, I think it's about family. We both agree it's lovely.

We're all good friends and want to have each other's babies. For the most part, we all originally met online. Uhm... let's see... what else...
Here! This is the directory of photos we took from Comic-Con 2002. Eventually we'll have a nice, organized con report...

Want to Order 'mostly acquisitions'?
Eventually we'll have copies available for purchase. Um, stay tuned? I guess?

Thank you so much for reading!
